BASIC LENDING REGULATIONS
The lending department works daily from Monday - Thursday from 7:45 up to 17:15 and on Friday from 7:45 up to 14:15.
During the summer period (July/August) it only functions morning hours, from 7:45 up to 14:15.

Right of lending:
Permanent residents of Cyprus and European citizens, as long as they are legally staying in Cyprus, have the right of lending.
All active members of the Library have the right to borrow material after they have been supplied with a Library card by completing an application form from the Reference Desk. The card is personal and is not transferable to others.
To complete your membership application you need to show your personal identification card.
Users-permanent residents of Cyprus can borrow up to three (3) items for a period of time no longer than 21 days. Users-European citizens can borrow one book for the period of 21 days. The loan period can be renewed for another 21 days, provided that the specific item has not been requested or reserved by another user. The renewal may be made in person or by telephone.
If a book is already borrowed, a user can place a reservation on it. On its return, the Office informs the user that the book is available for checkout. A book remains in the Loan Department up to a (1) week. After that the book is placed once again back on the bookshelves.
In special situations the Library has the right to recall a book that is on loan, seven days after the book was checked out.
Material not available for loan
Periodicals: Periodicals cannot be borrowed.
Reference material: Dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibliographies, and the material in the Reference Department can only be used in the Library.
Audiovisual material: Apart from certain videocassettes, this material is not available for lending.
